Rebecca Krouse, M.S.Ed., BC-HIS

Rebecca is an equal part owner of Rope Up, LLC. She handles operations, curriculum development, facilitating workshops, teaching various topics, and 1:1 mentoring for trainees and trainers. She has a passion for connecting people with the resources they need to accomplish their personal and career goals.

Before founding Rope Up, Rebecca was the program director for the Hearing Instrument Science degree and certificate programs at Ozarks Technical Community College. Prior to her position as the program director, Rebecca taught for the program and provided instructional design support for their hybrid curriculum. She takes pride in the success of the alumni and the positive impact they have on the lives of their patients every day.

Rebecca is currently licensed as a Hearing Instrument Specialist in the state of Missouri. She is Board Certified by NBC-HIS and a registered supervisor in the state of Missouri. She is a member of the International Hearing Society and Missouri Hearing Society. She serves on the IHS education committee (International Institute for Hearing Instrument Studies) and multiple committees for the Missouri Hearing Society.

McKayla Wheeler, BC-HIS, NCCDP

McKayla is a proud Ozarks Technical Community College graduate with an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Hearing Instrument Science (2017). She has been a licensed hearing instrument specialist in Missouri since 2017 and obtained her National Board Certification in 2018. Soon after she was approved as a registered supervisor for temporary permit holders in the state of Missouri.

After graduation, McKayla worked in private practice for a few years. During that time she returned to Ozarks Tech as a clinical and lab instructor from 2019-2023. In 2021, she opened Hear 4 Life, LLC; a private practice in Springfield, Missouri.

When she isn’t teaching, caring for patients, or managing her business, she enjoys spending time with her 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a brand new baby niece. 

Favorite Sound: Birds singing at the beginning of Spring.

Lynn Royer, M.Ed., BC-HIS

Lynn is an advocate for hearing healthcare and HIS education, most recently teaching in the field of hearing care for a 2-year degree program in Southwest Missouri to prepare graduates for licensure in various states.

Lynn is a trainer for a leading hearing instrument manufacturer, where she assists with the apprentice training program, leads the training and development program for supervisors, and develops training programs for increased sales and best practice protocol for providers company-wide. Educating and training hearing healthcare providers is her passion. She also enjoys staying connected with colleagues in the industry via professional organizations and attending conferences.

Outside of the office, Lynn loves being a mom, and grandma, and spending time with family and friends. She loves to cook, shop, and most of all walk her dogs and spend time on the lake.
